CLEAN

We are dedicated to enhancing the cleanliness and appeal of Wakefield. Building on our established initiatives, we continue to invest in deep cleaning, targeted improvement projects, and our successful graffiti removal programme. These efforts ensure that our city remains a vibrant and welcoming place for everyone.

SAFE

Safety is a top priority. We work closely with West Yorkshire Police, Wakefield Metropolitan District Council, and other partners to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour. Our goal is to achieve Purple Flag Accreditation, signalling that Wakefield is a safe and enjoyable destination, particularly in the evening and night-time economy. Through partnerships with crime and safety schemes like the Wakefield Radio Scheme APEX, we help businesses stay informed and secure.

WELCOMING

Creating a welcoming environment is essential. We continue our investment in greening the city, working with horticultural partners to ensure Wakefield is vibrant and inviting. Our efforts extend to public art installations, phone box cleaning, and enhancing the look of empty units and street furniture. By collaborating with landlords and other stakeholders, we aim to rejuvenate areas that have been neglected over time.

To support these projects and provide a service to levy payers, our Business Engagement Assistant serves as a visible point of contact and project manager, dedicated to meeting the needs of all Wakefield businesses.
