My Eco Baby Community

My Eco Baby is a Community Interest Company, that means it is a non-charitable business that is non profit making.

Its two primary purposes are to

1. Reduce used clothing and baby items going into landfill

2. Provide affordable good quality clothes, toys and equipment for sale in the shop.

Donations of baby and childrens clothes, toys and equipment are gratefully accepted. These are cleaned and repaired before being displayed for sale in the shop.

In addition My Eco Baby accepts donations of nappies, baby formula etc that are passed to local charities/ CIC's (see on this page for details of donations made to date).

My Eco Baby does not take referrals, rather it donates to charities and CIC's as and when it is able to achieve its social purpose.

It provides childrens books free of charge to customers and also runs The little free library in The Ridings.

We also take donations of bra's for Against breast cancer, an organisation that gives them a new lease of life while raising money for research.

My Eco Baby shop has also become a collection point for Renewi's cloth nappy scheme (please see their website for up to date information on the nappy scheme)

We are staffed by volunteers and supported by many community groups, charities and CIC's.

My Eco Baby has lots of exciting plans for the future. Watch this space!!
