THANKS to backing from Wakefield Business Improvement District (BID), the Wakefield City Centre Car Show is set to return to Wakefield April 29th and is bigger than ever!
The hugely popular event, supported by the BID and Wakefield City Council, will be returning to the city centre free of charge. Visitors are invited to give a £5 donation on the day and all proceeds will be donated to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Visitors can expect to see vehicles ranging from rare classic cars to famous TV/movie vehicles. There will also be live music, quality food and drink stalls and a jam-packed day of fun for all ages.
Wakefield BID are urging local businesses to take advantage of the increased footfall which the event is set to bring.
BID Manager Elizabeth Murphy said: "Wakefield's city centre was heaving thanks to the Car Show last year attracting thousands of visitors. With a fun day promised for all ages combined with the proceeds going to Yorkshire Air Ambulance, the BID are delighted to be involved.”
"Thanks to recent events, such as our Make a Difference Day, we’ve helped to improve Wakefield’s city centre and make it more clean and attractive. We hope that this attracts more visitors than ever and that local businesses take advantage of this, as it's set to be one of Wakefield's busiest days of the year."
