Wakefield is buzzing with energy this October as Wakefield Coffee Week takes over the city centre from 13 to 19 October 2025. The week-long celebration is all about showcasing Wakefield’s thriving coffee culture, shining a spotlight on the incredible independent cafés, roasters and well-known names that help make the city centre so vibrant.
Wakefield Coffee Week is part of Wakefield BID’s commitment to supporting local businesses, increasing footfall and celebrating the unique character of the city. By encouraging people to explore and enjoy Wakefield’s cafés, the event aims to give both visitors and residents a fresh reason to discover new places and support local traders.
Thomas Wales, Chief Executive of Wakefield BID, said:
“Wakefield Coffee Week is a fantastic way to celebrate the city’s incredible coffee culture. It’s an opportunity to highlight the brilliant businesses we have here, encourage people to try somewhere new and enjoy everything Wakefield has to offer – one cup at a time.”
