From Saturday 24th May to Sunday 1st June, Wakefield will be transformed into a prehistoric playground as Jurassic Wakey roars into action! Brought together by Wakefield BID and Ey Up Wakefield in partnership with our fantastic partners, this family-friendly week is packed with dinosaur-themed events and activities across the city centre.
Whether you’re digging for fossils, watching classic films, meeting a life-sized T-Rex or dancing at the Raptor Rave, there’s something for everyone – and most of it is completely free!
From craft workshops and face painting to a dino disco and dinosaur walk, Jurassic Wakey is full of fun ways to spend your half-term in the city. Keep an eye out for roaming dinosaurs, hands-on games from Wakefield College, prehistoric photo ops, and plenty of family-friendly surprises!
