Wakefield Business Improvement District (BID) is at the heart of transforming Wakefield City Centre, acting as a spark for change through exciting projects and powerful partnerships. We’re a dynamic, business-led group that’s all about making Wakefield a fantastic place to live, work, and visit.
Established in 2017, we represent over 400 city-centre organisations and have already invested over £1.5 million into enhancing our local area. As a part of a national movement that began in 2004, we’re focused on bringing fresh ideas and improvements that go above and beyond the usual, from vibrant events and street art to enhanced security and cleaner streets.
Our mission? To keep Wakefield buzzing with energy, thriving economically, and standing out as a unique destination. Whether it’s boosting business visibility, keeping the streets safe and clean, or creating events that draw crowds, Wakefield BID is all about making a real impact where it counts.
