Trinity Walk Celebrates Record Footfall with 11.35 Million Visits in 2024

Trinity Walk in Wakefield has recorded an impressive 11.35 million visits in 2024, surpassing its previous footfall record of 11.27 million in 2016. The surge in visitor numbers is thanks to popular events like Star Walk, Princesses of Trinity, and Dino Walk, as well as new store openings including Sports Direct, Pavers, Søstrene Grene, and Bob & Berts.

James White, Centre Manager of Trinity Walk, said: “We are delighted for all the stores and staff, who work so hard day in and day out to make Trinity Walk a great destination – and help us buck the national trend. The biggest thanks must go to all our shoppers and visitors. Without them, we’re not Trinity Walk. The wider team has worked hard during the last three years to improve the mix of stores and services here, which has meant more choice for visitors.”

Thomas Wales, Chief Executive of Wakefield BID, added: “Trinity Walk’s success is a reflection of the growing vibrancy of Wakefield. We’re proud to see the shopping centre thrive, benefiting both businesses and residents.”

Looking ahead to 2025, Trinity Walk will continue to build on this momentum with more exciting events and new openings.
